The information published in the media that the Moscow football club Lokomotiv has debts in the amount of 1 billion rubles is false. This was announced on May 30 by the club's press service.

Earlier, the media reported that the club's debts allegedly amount to more than 1 billion rubles. In order to obtain a license to participate in the Russian Premier League, the team allegedly contributed to the budget the planned proceeds from the sale of players Alexei Batrakov, Cesar Montes, Artem Karpukas and Dmitry Vorobyov.

"As part of the licensing procedure, clubs are required to confirm the sources of budget formation for the coming season. <...> The claim that the license was obtained only by including football transfers in the budget has no basis and it simply would not have been accepted during licensing," the club said in a statement, quoted by Sport.- Express".
