Rusprodsoyuz reported a reduction in the cost of making okroshka per year.
The average cost of making okroshka in Russia for a family of four decreased by 0.5% over the year. This was announced on May 30 by Dmitry Vostrikov, executive director of the Rusprodsoyuz association, in an interview with TASS.
The price of a meal per family decreased by 0.5% over the year, to 448.6 rubles. A year earlier, the average cost of okroshka was 450.9 rubles.
The expert clarified that the calculations were based on the okroshka recipe, which includes potatoes — 300 g, cucumbers — 200 g, eggs — 4 pcs., radishes — 200 g, boiled sausage — 300 g, fresh greens — a bunch, kvass — 1 liter, sour cream — 80 g.
Valery Tumin, a member of the Expert Council on the Development of the Digital Economy at the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy, told Izvestia on April 13 that planning purchases and avoiding impulsive consumption can reduce food costs by up to 30% without changing the diet. The expert added that such spending increases under the influence of psychological factors, including fatigue, hunger and marketing techniques in trading floors.
