UAV crash incident in Romania
The incident with the drone crash in Romania is a provocation by the Kiev regime, which is trying to draw NATO into a conflict with Russia, the Russian Embassy said.
"All this indicates that in reality there was another provocation by the Kiev regime, which is trying with all its might to draw NATO into a war with Russia and divert attention from the barbaric crime of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Starobilsk," the diplomatic mission's Telegram channel says.
The Russian Embassy in Romania said that the country's authorities used the incident with the drone crash in Galac as an excuse for a pre-prepared decision to close the Russian Consulate General in Constanta.
Later, Diana Shoshoake, a member of the European Parliament from Romania, drew attention to the fact that the decision of the country's authorities to close the Russian Consulate General in Constanta was an unacceptable step that completely destroyed diplomatic channels.
The Russian Ambassador to Romania, Vladimir Lipaev, also made a statement that the incident with the drone crash in the Romanian city of Galac was not accidental, but was a pre-planned action.
At the same time, British Defense Minister John Healy wrote on a social network that the country could send fighter jets to Romania to participate in a NATO airspace patrol mission.
Production of drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Canada
The agreements on the production of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in Canada are a manifestation of Ottawa's anti-Russian policy and indicate its desire to support the conflict in Ukraine, said Russian Ambassador to Canada Oleg Stepanov.
"The agreement announced by official Ottawa on the production of unmanned systems for the Kiev regime is part of the hostile policy of the cabinet of [Canadian Prime Minister] Mark Carney towards our country. Evidence of a desire to fuel the conflict in order to earn extra money from it," he said.
Possible exclusion of Ukraine from the EU's list of "safe countries"
The European Commission has asked the EU countries to exclude Ukraine from the list of "safe countries", the status of which allows the accelerated return of asylum seekers to their homeland, Euractiv reported.
It is noted that the initiative is connected with the discussion in the EU countries of the future regime of temporary protection for millions of Ukrainians residing in the territory of the European Union.
