All remaining drone shows at the annual Vivid Sydney Festival in Australia will be replaced by fireworks after an incident involving the downing of almost 90 aircraft during one of the spectacles. This was announced on May 30 by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC).

"In a statement, the festival organizer said that the cancellation was caused by "technical and regulatory assessments" conducted by SkyMagic, the operator of the drone show," the publication says.

It is noted that public safety will always remain the highest priority for the organizers. Efforts are currently underway to find the missing drones.

It is reported that the festival will last until June 13.

The Australian News portal reported on May 27 that almost 90 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) suddenly crashed into the sea near Darling Harbor in Australia during a light show. The incident occurred in the evening, after which the show was immediately canceled, and all subsequent performances were suspended for the next few days to check the equipment.
