DPRK delegation to take part in SPIEF
The DPRK's economic delegation left for Russia and Belarus on Friday to participate in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), as well as the Belagro International exhibition. This was reported on May 30 by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).
"The economic delegation of the government of our country, headed by the Minister of Foreign Economic Affairs Yun Chong Ho, left Pyongyang on May 29 to participate in the international specialized exhibition Belagro–2026 in Belarus and the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum–2026 in Russia," the agency writes.
It is specified that at the Pyongyang International Airport, the delegation was escorted by Deputy Minister of Foreign Economic Affairs Ryu Eun Hae and Charge d'affaires of Russia in the DPRK Vladimir Topekha.
The organizers of the SPIEF announced earlier that representatives of more than 130 countries and territories had confirmed their participation in the event. The forum is expected to be attended by heads of government agencies, representatives of international organizations, business, the scientific and expert community, as well as the media. The Forum will traditionally become one of the largest international platforms for discussing economic issues.
