Five regions of Russia declared June 1 a day off in connection with Trinity

Crimea, Kherson and Zaporizhia regions, Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics (DPR and LPR) declared June 1 a day off in connection with the celebration of the Orthodox Trinity. This was reported on May 30 in the regional authorities.

According to the decree of the head of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov, an additional non-working day is set for June 1. In the neighboring Kherson region, a day off was announced on May 31, and since the holiday falls on Sunday, it is postponed to Monday, June 1, said Vladimir Vasilenko, the governor's press secretary.

Traditionally, a day off after Trinity has also been announced in the Zaporizhia region, the DPR and the LPR, RIA Novosti reports.

This year, Holy Trinity Day is celebrated on May 31. This is one of the main Orthodox holidays.
