The court in St. Petersburg will consider the case against the author of the animated series "Masyanya" Kuvaev

The Nevsky District Court of St. Petersburg has registered a criminal case against the author of the animated series "Masyanya" Oleg Kuvaev (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation). This was announced on May 29 by the joint press service of the city courts in the Telegram channel.

It is noted that the reason was a video recording in which a foreign agent disseminated information directed against the security of the Russian Federation. Kuvaev also demonstrated ideological hatred towards representatives of the Russian government and the special military operation (SVO).

"The prosecution believes that no later than 07/14/2023 Kuvaev, being in an unidentified place outside the Russian Federation, acting intentionally, <...> posted <...> a video showing ideological hatred and hostility towards the current Russian government and its officials, turning into Kuvaev's hatred of his own, which also includes propaganda of the idea in the form of speech appeals directed against the security of the Russian Federation," the message says.
