The bell from the cruiser Novik, which sank off the coast of Sakhalin during the Russian-Japanese War, was transferred to the regional museum of local lore. This was announced on May 29 by the Minister of Culture and Archives of the Sakhalin region, Nonna Lavrik.

"The main museum of the region hosted a ceremony of handing over a valuable exhibit — a ship's bell, raised from the seabed at the site of the sinking of the legendary cruiser. A unique testimony to the national military history was provided by a veteran of the special military operation (SVO), first class diver Leonard Kurbanov," the publication says in the Maks messenger.
