A new season of the Moscow Tea Party project has begun in the capital
The Moscow Tea Party project has been launched in the capital, which will last until September 6. The townspeople and tourists will get acquainted with the traditions of Russian tea drinking and products of local producers, said Deputy Mayor Natalia Sergunina.
"The project will unite more than 50 sites throughout Moscow. They can be visited in the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve, at VDNKh, Novy Arbat, as well as on boulevards and in parks," Sergunina said.
One of the key venues is the Box of Chocolates art pavilion on Novy Arbat. A program with tastings, lectures, and master classes is planned here. You can try herbal and berry preparations, fresh pastries, honey, jam and tea "Moscow" — black baichy with orange slices and peel, rosebuds, berries, cornflower petals and wild saffron. Based on it, a seasonal novelty was prepared — a refreshing drink in a tin can. The products of the "Made in Moscow" program participants are also presented at the site: sweets, souvenirs, accessories, tableware, textiles.
Buffets with tea, rolls, buns, and juice bars have opened in the park near the Polytechnic Museum, on Chistoprudny and Pokrovsky boulevards. In the last two locations, interactive performances for children with characters from folk tales will be shown from the end of June to the middle of August.
Another pavilion of the project is located in Izmailovsky Park, in July it will move to the Tsaritsyno Museum Reserve, and in August to the Kuzminki-Lyublino Museum Reserve.
A Tea Rave will be held on June 27 and August 15 at Bolotnaya Square, and on July 12 at the Central Market. The program includes a DJ set, tea tasting and a quiz with prizes.
At VDNKH, tea and hot muffins will be offered to taste in the new tea house in the "House of Russian Cuisine".
The capital's cafes, restaurants and hotels will traditionally join the project. They will add special Moscow blend sets and new tea-based refreshing drinks to the menu.
