"THE HOUSE.The Russian Federation" supports the expansion of the program of repeated payment of 450 thousand rubles for mortgage repayment for large families at the birth of the fourth and subsequent children, the company's press service reported. The issue was discussed at a meeting of the Council for the Implementation of State Demographic and Family Policy.

"We see a huge demand for payments of 450 thousand rubles: since the beginning of the program in 2019, almost 1 million large families worth more than 435 billion rubles have used it. If a decision is made to extend this measure to every subsequent child in a large family, we are ready to ensure its prompt and high-quality implementation. The well—established processes of interaction with banks and the portal of public services will allow us to launch the additional configuration of the mechanism as soon as possible," said Vitaly Mutko, CEO of DOM.RF.

The federal mortgage repayment has already helped thousands of families, and many regions are implementing their own programs in the form of additional payments of up to 1 million rubles in addition to the federal one. Such programs are available in 17 regions, namely.The Russian Federation acts as an operator, ensuring their effective implementation and increasing the accessibility of measures for citizens, including by automating processes and creating convenient services: more than 80% of applications for support measures are received through the public services portal.

The change in the terms of the program will give large families the opportunity to receive financial support as they replenish their family, significantly reducing their debt burden. Currently, this measure is a one-time measure, and improving this mechanism will be an important step to provide additional support to families with four or more children, DOM.RF noted.
