- The Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia announced the country's intention to participate in the EAEU in good faith.
There is no doubt about the further development of Eurasian integration, and therefore Armenia intends to continue to participate in the good work of the Union in the interests of its citizens and the countries of the community. This was stated on May 29 by Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan during a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council.
"We have repeatedly confirmed Armenia's commitment to mutually beneficial cooperation within the EAEU in the interests of ensuring economic stability and sustainable economic development of our countries and the region as a whole," the politician said.
He noted that Armenia's participation in the EAEU will be based on mutual respect, equal partnership and consideration of the national interests of all member states.
According to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov on May 29, Russian President Vladimir Putin has not scheduled a separate meeting with Grigoryan, but if necessary, they can talk on the sidelines of the EAEU summit.
During his speech at the Eurasian Economic Forum in Astana, Grigoryan also noted that Armenia is ready to work together within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union on the development of artificial intelligence.
