The circumstances of the attack and the work of the air defense

The attack on the region began after midnight. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, in just one night, air defense forces intercepted and destroyed 208 Ukrainian aircraft-type drones over several regions of Russia, including the Volgograd region. The governor of the region, Andrei Bocharov, confirmed that the military repelled a massive attack. According to him, the targets of the Ukrainian drones were energy and civil infrastructure facilities in the region.

Victims and injured

Initially, it was reported that one person was killed and two injured in the attack. He added that as a result of falling drone debris, fires occurred during the night at the facilities of the fuel and energy complex and at a chemical enterprise.
