Russian President Vladimir Putin has not scheduled a separate meeting with Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan, but if necessary, they can talk on the sidelines of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) summit. This was announced to reporters on May 29 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

"No, there is no separate meeting planned, but if they want, they can perfectly talk on the sidelines," TASS quoted him as saying.

Peskov noted that a meeting between Putin and Grigoryan cannot be ruled out. The press secretary stressed that it will take place only if the intended participants consider it appropriate.

Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived at the Palace of Independence in Astana on May 29 to attend a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council (SEECC). On Friday, the president's schedule includes events within the framework of the EAEU. The EEC is the highest governing institution of the Union, which includes the heads of Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and the Prime Minister of Armenia. However, the head of the Armenian government did not attend the meeting in Astana. Yerevan's interests are represented at the summit by Mher Grigoryan.
