Air defense forces destroyed 208 Ukrainian UAVs over Russian regions overnight
Last night, air defense systems destroyed 208 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over the regions of Russia. This was announced on May 29 by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in the Maks messenger.
"During the past night, from 20:00 Moscow time on May 28 to 7:00 Moscow time on May 29, 208 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles of an airplane type were intercepted and destroyed by air defense systems on duty," the ministry said.
As specified, the drones were shot down over the territories of the Belgorod, Bryansk, Vladimir, Voronezh, Volgograd, Kursk, Orel, Rostov, Saratov, Tver, Yaroslavl regions, Krasnodar Territory, the Republic of Crimea and over the Sea of Azov.
The head of the Rostov region, Yuri Slyusar, reported earlier that day that more than 80 UAVs had been intercepted over the territory of the region last night. The governor clarified that nine districts of the region were attacked: Kamensky, Kasharsky, Chertkovsky, Millerovsky, Tarasovsky, Tatsinsky, Krasnosulinsky, Morozovsky and Sholokhovsky.
