Many customers leave paper receipts at the checkout after payment, despite the fact that they may contain data that fraudsters or unscrupulous persons can use. This was stated on May 29 by Alexander Khaminsky, a lawyer and head of the Law Enforcement Center in Moscow and the Moscow Region, in an interview with RT.

"The receipt indicates the date and time of purchase, the store's address, the amount, as well as the loyalty program data. Sometimes the document contains a bonus ID or QR code with extended purchase information," the expert warned.
