The number of accidents involving taxis decreased by 18% in the Moscow region

In 2026, the number of accidents involving taxis in the Moscow Region decreased by 18% compared to the same period in 2025. The main causes of accidents remain speeding and violation of the rules of lane change.

According to the online publication Podmoskovye Segodnya, a total of 36 accidents occurred due to the fault of taxi drivers. 42 people were injured in accidents, which is 22% less than last year.

The Ministry of Transport and Road Infrastructure recalled that measures are being taken in the region to improve the safety of passenger transportation. All taxi drivers are certified.

According to the latest data, more than 119 thousand taxi cars and more than 31 thousand carriers are registered in the Moscow region.
