The heirs of Ian Fleming, the author of novels about the adventures of James Bond, banned the use of Aston Martin cars in a series of novels about Agent 007. According to The Times newspaper, with reference to the writers, it was forbidden to mention the name of the car brand in order not to "upset" Amazon, the new owner of the franchise for filming films about the British spy.

As British writer Wasim Khan, the author of novels about the head of the Q department, who works with Bond, shared, the heirs from the Ian Fleming Publications foundation asked him to use another car in order not to "step on the feelings" of filmmakers during delicate negotiations with Amazon. She was preparing to take over creative control of the film franchise from Eon Productions, which had owned the rights for a long time.

The writer said that in his spin-off book, the character Q originally drove an Aston Martin, but the customers insisted that he get a car of a different brand. The hero of the book had to be "transplanted" to a model from another famous British brand Caterham. A similar request was made by the Scottish writer Kim Sherwood, who uses the French Alpine A110S sports car in her books about the Bond universe.

If James Bond drives different Bentley cars in the book universe, then in the movies his favorite brand is Aston Martin, and among the models is the iconic DB5.

In the last five films about the agent of the British intelligence service Mi6, the role of Bond was played by British actor Daniel Craig. In total, he played Bond for 15 years. As reported on March 19, British actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson is applying for this role in the following films.
