Autostat has listed the car brands with the largest drop in sales in the Russian Federation

The highest negative dynamics of car sales among the brands that are officially represented on the Russian market this year was recorded by the Ora and Kaiyi brands. This was announced on May 28 in his Telegram channel by the director of the analytical agency Autostat, who studied sales statistics for January-April.

So, sales of Ora decreased by 97% this year, and Kaiyi — by 96%. The SWM brand is in third place in the rating (-92%). As Tselikov noted, the first two brands have actually left the Russian market, while SWM still has a desire to compete for it.

Chery also has a high negative trend (-88.5%), and this is due to the fact that it is being replaced by the new Russian brand Tenet. Sales of BAIC cars turned out to be five times worse than at the beginning of last year (-81% in four months), while the brand is also not going to leave the market yet, the expert pointed out.

Sales of the Aito brand were four times worse than last year's result (-76%). Sales of Foton pickups (-57%) and the JAC passenger car range (-53.5%) more than doubled. The drop in sales of Wey hybrids is at the same level (-53.4%), the analyst estimated.

Registration of Xcite brand cars decreased by 57%. The expert noted that the assembly of these cars in St. Petersburg has long been discontinued, so it is surprising that a certain number of new cars still remain in car dealerships. The brands Livan, Jetta, Soueast, Oting, Lixiang, Dongfeng and Omoda were in the range of sales decline by 40-50%.
