Entomologist Roman Khryapin in an interview with aif.ru On Thursday, May 28, he told me how to protect yourself most effectively from mosquito bites.

The specialist noted that there is no universal way to protect against mosquitoes — the choice depends on their number and conditions. According to him, it is most effective to use electric fumigators with liquid or plates indoors, as such products provide the best protection.

On the street, as the specialist explained, it is better to combine closed clothes and repellents: with a large number of insects, it is important to cover the body as much as possible, and treat open areas with protective equipment. He added that clothes can also be soaked with repellents — they retain their effect on the fabric for several days to a month if it is not washed.

At the same time, the protection lasts much less on the skin — from half an hour to several hours, depending on the composition of the product.
