PSB has provided customers with the opportunity to connect a "second-hand" service for SBP transfers in a mobile bank. The new mechanism is designed to protect against possible fraudulent actions: transfers for a certain amount will require confirmation from a person authorized by the client, the bank said.
You can appoint an authorized person at any branch of the PSB in the personal presence of both the client and the "defender". When activating the service, the application specifies the amount limit, exceeding which will require additional confirmation from an authorized person.
If you attempt to perform an operation for an amount above the established limit, a notification will appear in the client's mobile bank stating that the transfer has been sent to the defender for approval and will be completed only after its confirmation. You can disable the service or change the authorized person at any time at the bank branch.
"In the modern economy, the main condition for secure access to banking services is the digital competence of the population, and older customers are one of the most vulnerable groups. The penetration of online services into their lives is faster than the development of digital skills. Therefore, platforms using the second—hand service model with the involvement of an authorized person occupy a special place in the development of modern financial services," commented Olga Alekseuk, Head of the Department of Innovative Technologies of the PSB.
According to her, the new tool makes it possible to additionally protect money transfers with the help of a loved one — a friend or relative who is better versed in financial matters. "Such a human factor creates conditions for a more comfortable and secure solution of any daily financial tasks," Aleksyuk said.
