NSIS announced the start of the CTP camera check in the fall

Verification of the availability of CTP policies using traffic cameras is planned to be launched in the fall of 2026. This was announced by the head of the Data Monetization Department of the National Insurance Information System (JSC NSIS) at the Modern Taxi conference in Yekaterinburg. Mikhail Bragin, the correspondent of Izvestia reports from the scene on May 28.

The representative of the NSIS said that the operation of the system was checked as part of an experiment to control the availability of policies.

"We expect that the verification of the CTP policy using cameras will be launched in October," Bragin said.

He noted that in the future, the system will be able not only to identify vehicles without compulsory insurance, but also to identify taxi cars that have a regular CTP policy, rather than a special one marked "for working in a taxi."
