Flock of sheep destroyed a memorable geoglyph in Khakassia
In the Ust-Abakan region of Khakassia, a flock of sheep grazing uncontrollably damaged and partially destroyed a geoglyph planted as part of the Garden of Memory campaign. This was reported on May 28 at the regional headquarters of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
"As a result of the measures taken, interviewing witnesses and collecting evidence, the police found that an uncontrolled flock of sheep had damaged and partially destroyed the pine saplings. The exact amount of damage is being determined. As soon as possible, the police identified the alleged owner of the animals, a resident of Abakan born in 1998," the TASS department said.
According to the Interior Ministry, an investigation is underway into the incident.
In Dagestan, in January last year, more than 250 sheep died when they got into mud. It was clarified that the rescue operation was difficult due to the difficult conditions: the equipment could not pass, and it was difficult for people to get to the animals.
