The incidence of parasitic infections has increased dramatically in the Sverdlovsk region. About 85% of all cases are registered among the child population.

In total, 8.31 thousand cases of the disease were detected in 2025. This is 12% more than a year earlier, and 1.2 times more than the norm. This is reported by the news agency " <url>". The incidence rate reaches 202 cases per 100,000 population.

The structure of parasitosis is dominated by helminthiasis. This is 73.5% of all identified cases. Among protozoal invasions, the most significant increase was noted in blastocytosis. The incidence increased 1.3 times. At the same time, the incidence of giardiasis decreased by 4%.

Five cases of toxoplasmosis have been reported, all of them children. In addition, six cases of malaria have been identified among citizens who came from African countries.
