Trump allowed the resumption of American strikes on Iran
The United States is still not satisfied with the course of negotiations with Iran, and a return to military action is possible. This was announced on May 27 by the American leader Donald Trump.
"They really want to make a deal. So far they have not succeeded. We are not satisfied with this, but we will be satisfied. We will either achieve this, or we will just have to finish the job," Trump said during a meeting with the Cabinet of Ministers at the White House.
The American president stressed that the United States operation in Iran is no less successful than in Venezuela. In addition, he called the US army the strongest in the world and drew attention to the fact that its budget exceeds $ 1 trillion, while striving for $ 1.5 trillion.
Alaeddin Boroujerdi, a member of the National Security and foreign Policy Committee of the Iranian Majlis, said on the same day that the draft of a potential agreement between the Islamic Republic and the United States includes clauses on a 60-day truce, including in Lebanon, and an end to the naval blockade. He added that representatives of his country's diplomatic staff do not intend to make decisions based on Trump's emotional publications.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said a day earlier that it could take several days to agree on the wording of a future agreement between Washington and Tehran. Then he also pointed out the importance of unblocking the straits in the Middle East, which will be opened "one way or another."
