Witness in the case of ex-director Gazmanov told about inconsistencies in fees
A witness in the criminal case of Dmitry Tsarenko, ex-director of Oleg Gazmanov, accused of fraud, related to the theft of money from concerts, told the court about inconsistencies in the singer's fees. This was reported on May 27 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the hall of the Khoroshevsky court in Moscow.
According to Olga Javakhadze, who is referred to in the media as a star financial consultant, Gazmanov himself contacted them to the organization that maintains the accounting records of artists and conducts financial analysis, with a request to verify the actions of his companies regarding concert activities.
"The question arose why Oleg Mikhailovich works for such small fees. Because, comparing his fees and the fees of other artists, we drew attention to this, to which Tsarenko could not give us a clear answer," Javakhadze said.
According to the woman, the accused said that Gazmanov allegedly does not assemble halls well and few people go to concerts after the pandemic.
"I turned him (Tsarenko. Attention to the fact that in October, when Oleg Mikhailovich had a solo concert at Crocus, the entire hall was completely sold out, to which Tsarenko said that the hall was not fully sold, there were invitations. It happens that an artist is given some part of the invitations for guests, but not half of the hall, that's for sure," the witness explained.
The woman added that when they were provided with information about the concert at the Crocus, the amounts in the documents varied.
"I was surprised that the amount was 2.6 million, then it became 2.8 million, which is very strange, usually artists of this level get more," Javakhadze said.
On April 30, the Moscow court dismissed the claim of former director Gazmanov for the recovery of funds from the singer. It was noted that in 2024 Gazmanov stated that he suspected his director of stealing money from concerts, after the proceedings Tsarenko received four years in prison for 13 cases of fraud totaling more than 10 million rubles.
