Zakharova pointed to the West's undermining of pan-European security

Russia has been trying to persuade the West for a long time, but they have undermined the foundations of pan-European security "like grinding beetles." This was announced on May 27 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

"Look at how many years, or even decades, we have been trying to exhort the West in words. <...> Instead of taking care of solving all the issues that can only be overcome together, Westerners have been endlessly engaged in undermining pan-European security," she told reporters on the sidelines of the International Security Forum..

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry added that the Russian Federation was trying to propose ways to resolve the issue, as well as warn about the pan-European problems that arose due to destructive manipulation, political regime changes and color revolutions.

Zakharova also said that the West does not hide that the purpose of their military exercises are Russia and Belarus. She noted that they do not hide their desire to inflict a strategic defeat on the Russian Federation and talk about it.

On the same day, it became known that the United Kingdom and Poland would sign a new agreement on defense and security.
