The attack on Sevastopol by British Storm Shadow missiles was demonstrative, as this city has historically been a place of military glory for Russia. This was stated by State Duma Deputy Andrei Kolesnik on Wednesday, May 27.

Earlier in the day, the governor of the city, Mikhail Razvozhaev, reported that as a result of the attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) with Storm Shadow missiles and dozens of unmanned aerial vehicles on Sevastopol, there is widespread destruction.

"Ukraine, with the help of British operators, has dealt a blow to the glory of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, which has been known since the time of Fyodor Ushakov and Prince Grigory Potemkin. For us, this is an absolutely historical Russian region, steeped in military glory. Therefore, they are trying to destroy our history with the help of the British," Kolesnik said in a conversation with Lenta.Ru .

The MP stressed that the UK thereby demonstrates support for Ukraine in its terrorist aspirations, because military facilities were not attacked. In response, Russia is already beginning to respond with strikes against decision-making sites in Ukraine, and the British may feel the consequences.

Razvozhaev also said that after the night attack carried out by the Ukrainian Armed Forces militants on Sevastopol, a container with explosives was found in the city, outwardly resembling a foam-covered box, according to the website. kp.ru .

The governor said on the same day that two victims had been identified as a result of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' night strikes in Sevastopol. In addition, at least 30 houses and 45 cars were damaged.
