Since the beginning of the special military operation (SVO) of Russia in 2022, 33 employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation have died in the line of duty, more than 300 more have been injured, deaths and injuries were caused by drone attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was announced on May 27 by Deputy head of the department Alexey Kostrubitsky.
"In the line of duty, 33 employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations died from attacks by unmanned aerial vehicles and mine-explosion injuries. More than 300 were injured," he said during the International Security Forum.
Also, only in the territory of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) from 2014 to 2022, 97 employees of the department were injured and 21 people died due to attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. He noted that since April 2014, the armed formations of Ukraine have continued to commit war crimes, the purpose of which is the destruction of civilians, industrial facilities and civilian infrastructure.
In the Kherson region on April 24, during an attack by a drone (UAV) Ivan Buzin, an employee of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, and his wife were killed in the Ukrainian Armed Forces. According to the department, Buzin served for many years in the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations and was a competent specialist. The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kherson region will provide financial and psychological assistance to the family of Buzin and his wife.
