On May 27, the Transfermarkt portal summed up the results of the 2025/2026 season in the Russian Premier League (RPL) and identified the best players of the championship, as well as highlighted the most expensive and cheaper players and clubs. All the details are in the Izvestia article.

The team of the best players of the season

Transfermarkt selected players from seven championship clubs to the team of the best players of the season: Zenit St. Petersburg, Krasnodar, Kaliningrad Baltika, as well as Moscow Lokomotiv, Spartak, Dynamo and CSKA. So, four Bulls players were included in the starting line-up of the best team: goalkeeper Stanislav Agkatsev, defender Diego Costa, midfielder Eduard Spertsyan and striker John Cordoba.

Zenit was represented at the start by defenders Igor Diveev and Douglas Santos, as well as striker Maxim Glushenkov. Among the Army players, defender Daniil Krugovoy and midfielder Matvey Kislyak were recognized as the best. Midfielders Ezequiel Barko and Alexey Batrakov were singled out from Spartak and Lokomotiv Moscow. Mikhail Galaktionov from Loko became the head coach. The total market value of the train is €165.5 million.

The reserve team includes goalkeepers Denis Adamov (Zenit) and Anton Mitryushkin (Lokomotiv). The defensive line is represented by Nino (Zenit), Juan Jose Caceres (Dynamo), Cesar Montes (Lokomotiv) and two Baltic players: Kevin Andrade and Mingiyan Beveev. In midfield and attack, Nail Umyarov and Marquinhos (both from Spartak), Brian Hill (Baltika), and Konstantin Tyukavin (Dynamo).

The most expensive players

The largest increase in market value was demonstrated by the player of the "red-blue" Kislyak — he added €5 million in price and is now estimated at €25 million. Batrakov (€28 million, the most expensive player in the league) and Pedro from Zenit increased their value by €3 million (€20 million). Krasnodar midfielder Nikolai Krivtsov went up by €2.5 million (€7.5 million).

Four players added €2 million in value at once — Agkatsev, Costa, Barko and Tyukavin. The main discovery of the rating was CSKA midfielder Kirill Danilov, who was estimated at €750,000 a year ago, and today his market value is €2.5 million (an increase in price of €1.75 million).

The cheapest players

The first place, by a wide margin from the pursuers, is occupied by the striker of the club from St. Petersburg, John Duran, who immediately lost € 10 million in value and is now estimated at € 15 million. Red and white players Jedson Fernandes and Manfred Ugalde fell by €2 million (€16 million and €12 million, respectively). The rest of the players in the rating reduced their value by €1 million: John John from Zenit (€15 million), Mirlind Dacu from Rubin (€9 million), Sergey Pinyaev from Lokomotiv (€8 million), Alexander Chernikov and Vitor Tormen from Krasnodar (€8 each million), as well as David Ricardo from Dynamo and Mateus Alves from CSKA (€6 million each).

The most expensive RPL club lineups

Zenit St. Petersburg occupies the first place in terms of the total cost of players — €177.3 million, however, as a percentage of last season, the team from St. Petersburg lost 4.2%. Spartak and Krasnodar are on the second line, with €121.2 million each.

The largest growth was demonstrated by Baltika, Dynamo from Makhachkala and Lokomotiv. Sochi, Akron and Krylia Sovetov have the worst dynamics. It is noteworthy that the Grozny Akhmat has not changed its value in a year. It remained at the level of €29 million.
