On the initiative of the Synergy Corporation and Innopraktika Company, a branch of the Russian Educational Agency was opened today in the Chinese city of Xiamen in Fujian Province, the press service of the corporation reports. The representative office will operate on the site of a Comprehensive Industrial Cooperation Service Port and access to BRICS foreign markets. The center, opened in 2020, is intended as a platform for the BRICS countries to use technological innovations and digital transformation, including in the educational field.

"China is Russia's key strategic partner in the Asia-Pacific region. We see a high interest of Chinese youth in studying in our country. Moreover, many young people in China know Russian. Opening a branch in Xiamen will allow us to cover a region with a population of 250 million people. This will be an important step in expanding the export of Russian education," said Vadim Lobov, President of the Synergy Corporation.

According to the Synergy Corporation, the new division will develop the strategic goals of the agency for the promotion of Russian education abroad, attracting foreign students to higher education institutions in Russia, which will help fulfill the instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin to increase the number of foreign students in Russian universities to 500,000 by 2030.

The branch of the Russian Educational Agency in China will provide a full cycle of support for Chinese applicants interested in Russian education. The department's specialists will select educational programs in Russian universities, taking into account the interests and level of training of candidates, organize preparatory courses in the Russian language and specialized disciplines, provide legal support, help with the collection of documents and obtaining student visas. The center's work is aimed at graduates of Chinese schools who want to get higher education in Russia, as well as bachelors who plan to continue their studies at master's programs.

The opening of the center was attended by high-ranking representatives of the diplomatic and political circles of the BRICS member countries. During the event, the participants discussed ways to develop industrial cooperation in the association.
