VK to open a computer class for children in long-term treatment
On the eve of the International Children's Day, VK and M.Video are launching the charity project "Good Extension". It will result in the opening of a computer lab at the Russian Children's Clinical Hospital for children who are undergoing long-term treatment.
On May 28, VK Play Arena will host a charity online stream featuring popular artists, bloggers, and streamers. The funds collected during the broadcast will be used to create a computer lab at the RCB. Part of the donations will go to targeted assistance to the Academy of Life and Beautiful Children in a Beautiful World foundations, which are engaged in the rehabilitation and social adaptation of children.
Oksana Samoilova, Navai, Yulia Gavrilina, Artur Babich, Philip Voronin, as well as GENSYXA, Anya Akulich, Married to Marina, Ilya Ilyinykh, Rasa, Artemy Pletnev and others will appear on the air. The presenters will be Karina Murashkina, Amir Gurbanov and Hard Play. The audience will enjoy games, interactive performances, musical performances, poetry readings and live communication. The stream program will also include the Just Dance DANCE BATTLE, an interactive dance event with streamers, which will be hosted by Anastasia Spacemita Bolshakova, Just Dance's ambassador to Russia. Children's hospital patients will not only be able to watch the broadcast, but also become full-fledged participants in the broadcast.
The opening of a computer lab at the RCB is scheduled for the end of June. The space is created for children who are undergoing long-term treatment and stay in the hospital for a long time away from home, school and their usual social circle. A computer class created with the support of VK and M.Video" will become not just a leisure area for patients, but a multifunctional platform for continuing education, mastering digital skills in a safe environment, communicating with peers and emotional relief during treatment.
"Charity streaming is a format understandable to young people: artists and bloggers, real—time streaming, and audience participation. This is how we turn interest in content into help — an opportunity to support the gathering and open a computer lab together for children who are undergoing long-term treatment. It will be a space where children can continue to study and develop skills that will be useful after recovery," said Ksenia Toporkova, head of VK Dobro.
