The Sollers group posted a video on social media with stories about the updated UAZ Patriot SUV. Together with the restyled Pro and Pickup models, it should appear on Russian roads this fall, the company announced on May 27.

In the video, the automobile plant showed the updated Patriot for the first time. In particular, the design of the front end of the SUV has changed, LED optics have appeared, and a new steering wheel has been installed.

According to Ranis Yakupov, the lead design engineer of the Sollers CPR, he was involved in the layout of the updated lighting equipment (headlights and lanterns), led the layout of the floor tunnel, gearbox and engine.

"My colleagues and I have been developing a new floor tunnel taking into account all architectural requirements, thereby improving the fit and ergonomics of the car," he said.

As reported on May 21, the pre-production UAZ Patriot was sent for certification tests. The SUV will also receive a two-liter diesel engine with a capacity of 136 hp of domestic production and an electromechanical transfer case with a washer control). A new six-speed manual transmission, also available in Russia, will be combined with the engine. It will be installed on cars with a 150 hp ZMZ Pro petrol engine with a volume of 2.7 liters.
