The reaction of Western countries to the terrorist attack committed by the Kiev regime in Starobilsk is "monstrous, dehumanized blasphemy." This was announced on May 27 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
"Well, they were not allowed to say that the strike was targeted, that the Kiev regime was planning an attack on children's facilities, they were not allowed to say, they were not allowed. But you could have just said, yes, the children died, and it's monstrous, and we empathize. They don't say that anymore either. That is, they completely uncovered themselves," she said on Sputnik radio.
Zakharova added that information about the terrorist attack was not hidden, and there was a lot of it. She noted that Russian media were working on the site, there were TV stories, articles, and reports.
The diplomat called the lack of sympathy from representatives of Western countries a monstrous, dehumanized blasphemy. She stressed that after their false statements and requests from people, a trip of foreign journalists to Starobilsk was organized.
The State Duma Committee on International Affairs has submitted to the House of Parliament a draft appeal to the UN and the parliaments of the world in connection with the terrorist attack in Starobilsk, the head of the committee Leonid Slutsky said on the same day.
Finnish politician Armando Mema, a member of the Freedom Alliance party, said on May 26 that the statements of European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen about sanctions against Russia against the background of the terrorist attack in Starobilsk demonstrate the double standards of the European Union.
On May 22, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked the academic building and the dormitory of the Starobilsk College. A criminal case was opened into the attack under Part 3 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Terrorist act"). 21 people were killed in the attack, and 65 others were injured. The names of all the victims of the terrorist attack have been established. In the LPR, May 24 and 25 were declared days of mourning for the dead.
