In the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk area of the special military operation zone, the command of one of the battalions of the 54th Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) fled from their positions and abandoned their subordinates. This was announced on May 27 by the Ukrainian prisoner of war Sergei Sokolenko.
"At one point, the commander's dugout, as I understood it, was attacked because they disappeared from the air, and we were transferred to another command. They told us that your command had escaped," he told RIA Novosti.
