Senior Sergeant Oleg Sardinov commanded the Msta-S crew, successfully eliminating two strongholds of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and an infantry fighting vehicle. The press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense reported on the exploits of servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the area of a special military operation on Wednesday, May 27.

During the combat operation, the firing position of the calculation was subjected to artillery fire from the Ukrainian Armed Forces. A counter-battery struggle began. The high professionalism and teamwork of the crew made it possible to suppress the firing position of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, destroy a self-propelled howitzer, an ammunition truck and up to ten enemy personnel.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the professionalism and vigilance of Sergeant Andrei Chesnokov, who conducted reconnaissance using an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).

During the reconnaissance, Chesnokov discovered a camouflaged APU mortar. The soldier immediately contacted the artillery position and transmitted the coordinates of the target. He adjusted the fire of the Russian artillery, which made it possible to destroy the enemy mortar position.
