"I would like to emphasize once again that the Russian Federation is ready to continue to fully develop multifaceted allied relations with the Republic of Kazakhstan," Putin said.

According to the President's expectation, the negotiations during his visit to Kazakhstan should give an additional impetus to strengthening the Russian-Kazakh partnership.

Putin also pointed out the important role of regional cooperation mechanisms, in which Russia and Kazakhstan are actively involved, in the current geopolitical turbulence.

"I am referring primarily to the Eurasian Economic Union, whose next summit will be held in Astana in a few days, as well as the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Collective Security Treaty Organization, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the Conference on Interaction and Confidence—building Measures in Asia, and the Russia—Central Asia format," he said.

As the Russian leader pointed out, the total amount of accumulated Russian investments in the Kazakh economy is almost $30 billion. About 70 major projects are being implemented in Kazakhstan with the participation of Russian investors. Also, over 40% of all Kazakhstani legal entities with foreign capital are companies established jointly with partners from Russia.

"With the participation of Russian investors, about 70 major projects are being implemented in the republic, including in the automotive industry, heavy machinery, chemical industry and many other technological industries, which have already created more than 60,000 new jobs," the Russian president said.
