Statements by the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, on sanctions against the Russian Federation against the background of the terrorist attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) at a college in Starobilsk demonstrate the double standards of the European Union (EU). This was stated on May 26 by Finnish politician Armando Mema, a member of the Freedom Alliance party, in the social network X.

"Ursula von der Leyen calls for tougher sanctions against Russia. I did not hear a single word from her condemning the Ukrainian Armed Forces attack in Starobilsk. This clearly demonstrates the EU's double standards regarding international law and human rights," he said.
