The MEP accused Zelensky of supporting fascism.
President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky openly supported fascism, honoring one of the leaders of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN, recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation) Andrei Melnyk. This was announced on May 26 by Lubos Blaga, a member of the European Parliament from Slovakia.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova announced on May 21 that Ukraine was planning to create a pantheon of "outstanding" countrymen, consisting of figures from nationalist organizations. According to her, this process has already begun since Luxembourg handed over the ashes of Andrei Melnyk and his wife to Kiev.
