A St. Petersburg man who poured acid on his ex brought her two flowers each
Before pouring acid on the ex-girlfriend, the St. Petersburg man who committed the crime brought two flowers to her house, hinting at mourning events. The victim's father told Izvestia about this on May 26.
A few months before the attack, the man threatened that he would kill the ex-girlfriend's relatives, and in the end he would kill her herself. After that, Anastasia wrote a statement to the police, but after a while the Petersburger continued to intimidate and took action.
"He brought two flowers each, put them at the house where they [with his girlfriend] live, where he then attacked. He hinted, that's it, you're not a tenant," the girl's father explained.
In addition, in an attempt to see his ex-lover, the man persuaded his friend to pretend to be the buyer of the laptop that Anastasia was selling.
"A girl responded to the ad, she says: "I want to see how we can meet you?" <...> And in the end, it wasn't the girl who came to the meeting, but he himself," recalls the victim's father.
He noted that his daughter is still in intensive care with burns to 35% of her body — Anastasia is conscious, but acid-burned lips do not allow her to fully communicate. It's too early to make predictions about a girl's eyesight.
"One eye sees, I don't know how many percent, but more or less, and with the other she understands how many fingers she sees, but very vaguely," the man added.
According to a source in Izvestia, on the evening of May 23, a St. Petersburg man broke into his ex-lover's apartment on Zheleznovodskaya Street with a knife, a pistol, a gas canister and a can of acid, which he threw in her face. After that, he inflicted multiple stab wounds on her. There was a friend of the girl in the apartment who tried to pull the aggressor away, but she was burned by acid. The victim was taken to the intensive care unit.
The Interior Ministry clarified that after the crime, the attacker tried to escape, but he was detained. The man is currently in custody.
