The first electric vessels of the Moscow shipyard were launched

The first electric vessels produced at the Moscow shipyard were launched in the capital. They were named Taganka, Yakimanka, Polyanka and Maroseika, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said on the Maks channel.

"The electric vessels and the entire infrastructure for them meet the strictest environmental requirements and have zero emissions of harmful substances," the mayor of the capital emphasized. He noted that the revival of regular passenger traffic on the Moskva River is a unique project not only for Russia, but also in world practice.

The vessels of the Moscow 1.0 project launched were built in 5.5 months from the moment of laying. Each vessel can accommodate up to 56 people. The cabin is equipped with platforms for transporting bicycles, information screens and USB charging are installed, and there is a free Wi-Fi connection.

In addition to the head of Moscow, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Saveliev and Transport Minister Andrei Nikitin took part in the launching ceremony.

Sobyanin recalled that in 2025, more than 4.5 million trips were made on regular, pleasure and cruise fleets. According to him, this is a record figure in the history of passenger traffic on the river over the past 30 years.

The Moscow shipyard, which Sobyanin called the most modern in Russia, was launched on November 26, 2025. The company has organized full-cycle production, which includes metal cutting, welding and assembly of hulls, equipping and launching ships. A class for training the crew of electric vessels has also been formed on the basis of the shipyard and its own design bureau is located.
