Large-scale landscaping of the pedestrian part of Leningradskaya Street has begun in Murmansk. This is reported by the Ministry of Urban Planning and Landscaping.

Landscaping work began with the planting of lilacs. The first seedlings have already been brought to the pedestrian zone and the soil has begun to be prepared.

In total, more than a hundred trees and shrubs are planned to be planted on Leningradskaya, including mountain pines, viburnums, linden trees and mountain ash trees. At the same time, as noted in Minsk, the landing strategy was developed jointly with specialists from the Polar Alpine Botanical Garden Institute and landscape designers.

The final stage of work at Leningradskaya should take place on June 1, the International Children's Day, says the Bi-Port news agency. Students of the Rodina Center for Scientific and Technological Creativity, together with honorary citizens of the city, will solemnly complete a large-scale landscaping.

Earlier it was reported that in Murmansk, starting from May 25, bus No. 29 will temporarily change its traffic pattern. Inconveniences are associated with repairs on Trade Union Street in the area from Lenin Avenue to the Rodina center. Changes in the movement of public transport will last until the end of the work.
