Patients are increasingly turning to doctors not with a specific disease, but with a complaint of chronic fatigue. This was announced on Tuesday, May 26, by Samvel Baghdasaryan, Candidate of Medical Sciences, coloproctologist and founder of KDS Clinics. He noted that this condition may conceal serious health problems.

According to the doctor, fatigue can hide almost anything: anemia, autoimmune processes, depression, vitamin and micronutrient deficiencies, thyroid disorders, diabetes mellitus or cardiovascular diseases. Many of these conditions go on for a long time with almost no symptoms, while the body is already running out of resources.

"About a third of patients show metabolic disorders during checkups that had not previously manifested themselves in any way. The person considered himself conditionally healthy and did not suspect that the body was already in a state of systemic failure," the specialist said in an interview with Lenta.Ru .

Baghdasaryan noted that this is largely due to the lifestyle that has become perceived as the norm. Chronic lack of sleep, high stress levels, and work without full recovery gradually deplete the body. Sleep has become an option that is sacrificed for deadlines, and regular lack of sleep triggers a chain of changes: metabolism slows down, concentration decreases, stress is worse tolerated. He warned that the longer a person lives in this rhythm, the higher the risk of failure at the level of a specific body system.

The surgeon added that many diseases have become much younger. Thus, metabolic disorders that were previously characteristic of people over the age of 40 are now increasingly being diagnosed in people around the age of 30.

"Among the reasons are a sedentary lifestyle, round—the—clock access to high-calorie food, social jet lag and lack of quality recovery," he concluded.

Earlier, on May 24, Maria Ignatieva, a psychoanalytic psychotherapist and psychologist at the Yasno service, reported that detecting early signs of burnout allows you to slow down in time before the condition becomes chronic and begins to negatively affect your health, relationships, and quality of life. According to her, the very first sign is fatigue. As the expert noted, she is most often ignored.

In turn, neurologist Dmitry Makarov told in an interview with Life.Ru As people age, many people face problems such as headaches, chronic fatigue, anxiety, and insomnia. According to the doctor, tension headaches are one of the most common complaints in middle-aged patients. 360.ru .
