The navigation season for small vessels began in the Trans-Baikal Territory on May 25. This is reported by the regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Ship owners are asked to observe the rules for staying on water bodies. A technical inspection of the vessel should be carried out before going on the water. Residents of Transbaikalia are also reminded that they must have the right to drive a water vehicle. This is reported by the ChitaMedia news agency.

In 2025, 164 people were prosecuted for various violations, including operating a ship under the influence of alcohol.

The navigation season started on Lake Baikal on May 15.
