The Russian Foreign Ministry called on the United States to realize the measure of responsibility for the settlement in Ukraine

The Russian side calls on the United States to realize the extent of its own responsibility for the implementation of the agreements that were reached in Anchorage. This was announced on May 26 by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov.

"We urge the US administration to realize the extent of its own responsibility. We are ready to go our part of the way and translate the Anchorage framework into concrete agreements and decisions," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, during a telephone conversation with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on the eve, also reminded the American side of the agreements reached at the highest level in Anchorage regarding the Ukrainian conflict.

The Russian Federation does not refuse to negotiate with Europe, but demands respect for the interests of the country.

Rubio said on May 25 that Washington and Kiev are currently not actively negotiating and are not planning to do so. The American Secretary of State did not specify the details on this issue.
