The dialogue in the nuclear Five has not been completely frozen, but it is currently very limited. This was announced on May 26 by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov at the international Security Forum.

"Although the dialogue in the nuclear Five has not been completely frozen, it is conducted strictly at the working level and touches on a limited set of topics. Ryabkov noted that Russia welcomes the resumption of negotiations with the United States on nuclear arms control, but there are no prerequisites for this. He also stressed that such contacts would be possible only if Washington's relations with Moscow improved.
