Russia and China to sign new agreements between prosecutor's offices
Russian Prosecutor General Alexander Gutsan arrived in Beijing on May 26 at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart, the head of the Supreme People's Prosecutor's Office of the People's Republic of China, Ying Yong. The parties are preparing new agreements between the departments.

In Beijing, the Russian Prosecutor General will hold talks with Ying Yong, as well as discuss issues of bilateral cooperation with the leadership of a number of other competent authorities. During the meetings, it is planned to sign documents aimed at strengthening and further developing relations with each of the departments.
The interaction of the supervisory authorities of the two countries is systematic and systematic, and seven cooperation programs have been implemented between the prosecutor's offices of Russia and China, within the framework of which over 20 joint events have been held. Contacts at the Prosecutor General's level are regular and are carried out in both bilateral and multilateral formats. The main venues for such meetings are events within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and BRICS.
Representatives of the supervisory authorities of the two countries systematically participate in interdepartmental consultations on extradition, legal assistance, law enforcement assistance in criminal cases and other issues of mutual interest.
The official representative of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Guo Jiakun, said on May 21 that Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping were able to reach an important consensus during talks in Beijing, as well as bring interstate relations to a new level. The representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry added that Beijing, together with Moscow, is ready to implement the agreements reached by the leaders.
Putin's official two-day visit ended on May 20. During the meeting, the Russian leader held talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping, and members of the Russian delegation together with their Chinese counterparts signed 21 documents.
