Ukrainian media reported on the transfer of the Tymoshenko case to the court
The case of the head of Batkivshchyna, Yulia Tymoshenko, about the bribery of deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in order to hold custom-made votes in parliament has been brought to court. This was reported on May 26 by the Ukrainian newspaper Strana.ua" with reference to the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP).
The publication clarifies that after a series of corruption scandals in parliament at the end of 2025, she began to negotiate with individual deputies on a remuneration system for "correct" votes on draft laws. The lawmakers had to vote or ignore on the instructions of the organizers of the corruption scheme, the investigators clarified.
Tymoshenko acted as an intermediary, instructing deputies who agreed to participate in the scheme and transferring money to them in advance — for one parliamentary session.
The authors of the material remind that the investigation into this case was completed in early April.
On January 16, the Ukrainian court chose a preventive measure for Tymoshenko in the case of bribery of deputies in the form of bail in the amount of about $ 760 thousand. She was also forbidden to leave the Kiev region without prior permission from the investigation.
Prior to that, on January 15, Tymoshenko noted that Ukraine had been turned into a corruption hub at all levels. According to her, the Kiev authorities have identified her team as the only real opposition in the country, which confirms their actions against her and her team.
