Russia has been at the forefront of the fight against the aggressive Western minority for many years, and has repeatedly tried to invite it to an effective dialogue. This was stated on May 26 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, the correspondent of Izvestia reports.

"These attempts to invite the international community, this most collective Western minority, to a real, constructive, effective dialogue, including for them, have been made repeatedly," she explained on the sidelines of the International Security Forum.

Zakharova noted that even before the start of the "hottest" phase — the special military operation — Russia was clearly aware of reality.

"Look at what was developing and how, in particular, in the perimeter of our borders, in close proximity to the borders of our country, what processes were going on in the world in general, how our country was doing in all ways — politically, diplomatically," the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs added.

At the same time, Moscow has always believed that mutual cooperation, respectful dialogue and reliance on international law should become the basis that will allow countries to avoid world wars, crises and misunderstandings, Zakharova said.

She stressed that the strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the college and dormitory in Starobilsk was illegal, inhumane and immoral, and drew attention to the mockery that followed from the Ukrainian side after the attack.

"Read the so-called Ukrainian publications, listen to what their leaders said at all levels. They literally almost glowed with joy that they had struck at the children. All this led to the adoption of appropriate decisions," she concluded.

On May 25, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs warned that the strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on Starobilsk had "run out of patience," so the Russian Armed Forces are launching successive strikes against military installations in Kiev. The agency recommended that foreigners leave the city as soon as possible, and local residents should not approach military and administrative infrastructure facilities.
