The former first deputy chairman of the Vologda Region government, Ivan Inozemtsev, was detained and interrogated as part of a "funeral" case. This was announced on May 26 by the governor of the region, Georgy Filimonov, in his Telegram channel.

"The investigative actions took place within the framework of the so-called "funeral" case. Inozemtsev worked in the regional team for only six months, and was fired at the end of November last year. As soon as suspicions of possible involvement arose, the security forces immediately drew their attention," the publication says.

The governor stressed that it is unacceptable to "hide behind good intentions to solve selfish tasks," and promised to uncover every misconduct of government members.

"We will continue to identify and clean up as much as necessary," he added.

On October 19, the first Deputy governor of the Vologda Region, Ivan Inozemtsev, became a participant in the conflict in St. Petersburg. The governor noted that it was a private trip. He added that "there is a sport for those who want to face off," and even if the opponent is very wrong, it is necessary to keep a cool mind.
