A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. The North group of troops has actively established control over the settlements of Zapselye and Ryasnoye in the Sumy region. The western group of troops has taken more advantageous positions and frontiers. Ukrainian formations in the Kharkiv region and the DPR were defeated. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost over 190 soldiers, an M113 armored personnel carrier and two US-made HMMWV armored fighting vehicles. 18 vehicles, a field artillery piece and an electronic warfare station were destroyed.

The soldiers of the southern group of forces improved their position along the front line and hit the enemy in the areas of the DPR settlements. The enemy lost more than 85 militants, two US-made Stryker armored personnel carriers, three armored combat vehicles, 16 vehicles, two artillery pieces and a Grad multiple rocket launcher combat vehicle.

Units of the Center group of forces occupied more advantageous positions and frontiers, and also hit Ukrainian formations in the DPR and the Dnipropetrovsk region. The losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to 310 people, a tank, three armored combat vehicles, 12 vehicles and a field artillery piece.

The Vostok group of troops continued to move into the depth of the enemy's defenses. Ukrainian Armed Forces units were defeated in a number of settlements in the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia regions. The enemy lost over 240 soldiers, two armored combat vehicles, five vehicles and an artillery piece.

Fighters of the Dnepr group of forces defeated formations of three mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in areas of populated areas of the Zaporizhia region. Up to 55 Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters, an armored combat vehicle, 10 vehicles and an electronic warfare station were destroyed.

Operational-tactical aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery of groups of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation defeated the production, storage, launch and control of aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 150 areas.

Three French-made long-range SCALP guided missiles, ten guided aerial bombs and 255 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down by air defense systems. The forces of the Black Sea Fleet destroyed two unmanned boats of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of the special military operation, 671 aircraft, 284 helicopters, 152496 unmanned aerial vehicles, 661 anti-aircraft missile systems, 29501 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1726 multiple rocket launchers, 35094 field artillery and mortars, 62596 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
